Rules...
1. The club shall be known as the Peterborough Driving Instructors Social Club (P.D.I.S.C.) and will incorporate the Peterborough
Association of Driving Instructors.
2. Membership shall be open to all Driving Instructors working or residing in Peterborough and the surrounding districts.
There are Two levels of membership
a. Associate Membership: Allowing the right to attend all meetings and social events, and the right to vote on any matter, I
ncluding the election of officers and the right to hold office.
b. Full Membership: As for Associate members with the added benefit of participation in the Sickness scheme as per rule 6.
           All members will pay an annual subscription, which will be due at the A.G.M.              
           The amount of the subscription shall be determined at the A.G.M. by the
            Members present. Any member not paying their subscription by or on the
            March meeting will be deemed to have lapsed but may rejoin at any time.
           The  subscription of any member joining after the A.G.M. will be due again at
            The following A.G.M.
3. The club will meet on the second Tuesday of  alternate months ( January,
      March, May, July, September and November). All meetings will be held at
       Perkins Sports Club Oxney rd and will start at 8.30pm unless notified
       Otherwise. The January meeting will be the A.G.M.
4. The club shall be managed by a Chairperson, a Secretary and a Treasurer to be
           Elected annually at the A.G.M. form members who have held membership in excess
            of 12 months immediately prior to their election. All posts will be voluntary and
            unpaid, although it has been decided that in appreciation for their efforts, no  
           subscriptions would be payable by members holding the above offices, during their
           term of office. Any expenses incurred relating to the management of the club will
            be reimbursed. It is hoped and expected that all members will participate and help
           in the general running of the club by suggesting and researching any areas that
           could be of mutual benefit to other members and supporting and helping to run
           activities.
5. The club shall Promote Organise and Support, Social and Professional activities
For the benefit of it’s members and will support Charities and Worthy Causes as decided by the members.
6. The club will operate a sickness benefit scheme subject to the following rules
a. Any member who has been in continuous FULL membership for a period of more than two years shall in the event of a period
of sickness in excess of four weeks, be entitled to the sum of £50.00per week for eight weeks from the start of the sickness or
incapacity and then subject to review with the following provisos. All claims must be supported by medical evidence such as a
certificate from a doctor. All payments are ex-gratia and are subject to the club having sufficient funds to pay same.
7. The club shall have the power to terminate the membership of any person bringing
The club or profession into disrepute.
8. In the event of the club ceasing to operate any monies owned by the club shall be
Donated to charities.
9. Any matters not covered by these rules will be decided by the members at the next meeting.
10. Acceptance of these rules is a condition of membership.
